Minis Art Prize and Exhibition

The Minis Art Prize and Exhibition incorporates the very popular 10 x 10 x 10cm exhibition, the 9” x 5”, as well as sculpture.
The 9” x 5” draws inspiration from the 9 by 5 Impression Exhibition held in Melbourne in 1889 which featured
works by, among others, Arthur Streeton, Charles Condor and Tom Roberts. The 9 x 5 (inches) is a reference to the size of the standard cigar box lid on which many of the works were painted. Works in the 1889 exhibition were mainly landscapes but also included portraits and still life.

The exhibition will be held at the Thirroul District Community Centre.
