Art festival   Thirroul Seaside and Arts Festival

There is an abundance of local talent within the visual and performing arts disciplines.

The Thirroul Seaside and Arts Festival aims to eventually have representation of as many art mediums as possible.

Currently we offer four venues for Performance Art forms.

Opening night of the Festival, students from the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music perform at the Art Exhibition. Come along, have some refreshments view some art and enjoy the mellow sound.

SATURDAY on the STREET 10am until 3pm

We offer three venues of entertainment:

Railway Street: local musicians, bands, vocalists and talented students from local primary and high schools on a full sound stage surrounded by stalls and local cafés for a coffee or snack. This event is sponsored by Byrne Surfboard and Seafoam Café.

WJ Jackson Park: Wollongong Conservatorium of Music junior students busk in this park to gain self confidence in public performance. The talent is exceptional.

King Street : Music on the lawn, a garden atmosphere where you can enjoy a Lions Club BBQ meal, relax on the lawn and listen to music. Kids can have a free jump on the castle or colour in the mural. Local bands and artists courtesy of Beaches Hotel.

On Saturday you can walk from one side of Thirroul to the other listening to music.

For the first time we’re presenting PICTURES in the PARK at the Thirroul beach park.

This is a FREE family event and includes the screening of a family movie. The event will include a BBQ, ice-cream and popcorn. Bring a blanket, the kids, and have a relaxing night.

This is an ALCOHOL-free event
