Art festival   Thirroul Seaside and Arts Festival

Art Alive happens on the Saturday of the festival.

Artist at work

Artists at work around the town add an extra dimension to the many Festival activities and their displays are always very popular with visitors.

ArtAlve! runs at no cost to the artists. Artists creating their paintings and drawings or their craft are all welcome, providing interest and colour, demonstrating their skills and chatting to interested viewers - perhaps making a sale.  All participants MUST be actually working at creating their art, and large commercial-style stalls are discouraged. In exchange, the Festival Committee does not charge artists a 'site fee', nor any commission on sales made.

Artists gather in Jackson Park or on the footpath beside the Beaches Hotel. In the park, gazebo-style tents are provided, with one ‘Bunnings’ table for each artist, while some artists prefer to make a display on the open lawn.  On the footpath by the pub, nothing is provided; artists bring their own table, maybe an umbrella, and set up there.

Thirroul Seaside & Arts Festival is a charity fund-raising event and Merchant Stalls are available, at a cost, for artists and craftspeople who wish only to sell their wares, either on Saturday in McCauley Street or the Community Centre forecourt; or on Sunday at Tangara beachside park. These stalls are available via the Festival Committee on the Festival website  -
