About the festival

Attention
The outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid19) is having a big impact on major activities in Australia in the form of travel restrictions, closures and event cancellations. To prevent further spread of the Coronavirus the Festival Organising committee has advised that this year's festival will not go ahead.

Situated on a spectacular coastline and one of the iconic northern Illawarra suburbs, the Thirroul Seaside and Arts Festival celebrates art and the beach as fundamental parts of local life.

The annual festival has established itself in the community as a beloved weekend long event with an art exhibition and prizes, entertainment, market stalls, great food, and competitions.

Thirroul Seaside and Arts Festival is a not for profit event and all funds raised are donated back into the community, with some $1.2m having been donated to local individuals and organisations in need, since the festival began in 1993.

The delivery of the festival is made possible by the support of The Lions Club of Austinmer/Thirroul Inc and the many volunteers who provide their skills and time, as well as great sponsors who assist with funding, facilities, equipment, and terrific people.
